EcoClean Bio-Reactor Products
EcoShield Bio Treatment options include the EcoClean Companion Bio Reactor, and a full line of Integrated Pretreatment Bio Reactors
Integrated Pretreatment Bio Reactor
Major benefits
- Extends cleaning solution life
- Improves and stabilizes cleaning solution performance
- Reduces disposal costs
- Reduces chemical consumption and costs
- Can be integrated into EPA mandated P4 (Permanent Pollution Prevention Plans)
Dollars and sense
With an EcoClean IPBR unit, there is less wastewater to discharge, and what is discharged is much less hazardous. With all that, it still costs less to run than the average home computer, or about $.44 cents per day.

Process Description
The EcoClean Integrated Pretreatment BioReactor System is appropriate for a much wider range of contaminates and situations than the ECBR system. Many highly toxic organic compounds including many phenols, chlorinated hydrocarbons, and aromatic compounds can be pretreated first in batches with the IPBR system then switched over to biotreatment in the bioreaction mode using the same IPBR system. Process capacity can be increased by using the IPBR for the pretreatment step only and then using a Companion BioReactor for the final treatment. Clean water and filterable biomass are the final products. In some cases start up pH adjustment followed by periodic manual re-adjustment or automated control of pH will be needed. Automated pH control is available as an option.
Size, configuration options, and accessoriesIPBR Systems are currently available in three standard sizes. Actual treatment capacities will vary depending on the concentration of the contaminates. Volumes ranging from 100 to 10,000 gallons can be typically treated in 5 to 20 days. Just mount the IPBR system on a nearby wall near you storage or process tank, hook up the supply and return lines, plug it in and turn on the power switch. Then sit back and let it do all the work.

Process Description
The EcoClean Companion BioReactor is appropriate for biotreatment of any waste water stream that is already biodegradable or that has already been pretreated to convert biotoxins into biodegradable compounds. In some cases start up pH adjustment followed by periodic manual re-adjustment or automated control of pH will be needed. Automated pH control is available as an option.
Size, configuration options, and accessoriesECBR Systems are currently available in one standard size. The ECBR-60 is appropriate for small batches of highly concentrated solutions having COD's as high as 150,000 mg/l. It can handle up to 60 gallons per batch. For dilute waste water flows such as rinse water it can handle much larger batch volumes on the order of 6,000 gallons per batch. It can also be integrated into continuous batch system designs.
For bio-unfriendly substances, or for larger jobs, consider EcoShield's IPBR series of combination Bio-Pretreatment units.
