What is EcoShield Technology? A Way of Problem Solving EcoShield Technology is not merely the gadgets and widgets which we build and sell, but rather a way of thinking that addresses problems and devises solutions from a different viewpoint. Instead of fixing one problem at a time, an entire industrial process is reviewed. This not only avoids the situation of each fix leading to another problem (until an inefficient mess is created), but also avoids "running from one corner of the room to the other", where each fix stays barely ahead of regulation and does not address the underlying problems. Solving problems the EcoShield way considers all the ramifications of a process and simultaneously designs for industrial efficiency and internalization of environmental effects. A Way of Working Historically, environmental solutions were custom engineered on a one at a time basis. This was in part due to the method of regulation, which looked at each individual point source of pollution. Today, regulations are moving toward class based regulation looking at whole industry sectors for common elements that can be regulated. EcoShield Technology takes our whole process design philosophy and applies it to class based pollution prevention opportunities.
